OMG look at the propaganda on MSNB's site!
Edited on Thu Mar-24-05 09:53 PM by montana500

Notice how the "pressing on" part is all lit up, and then below you see "what drives her husband?" in the tinted, dark section. LOL
.

This CRAP has to STOP.

Look at the photo they used of her husband for the story:

also, MSNBC has had a "faith in america" , "special report" for weeks now on their site.

We wont win another presidential election or congress until we get a grip on our corporate media.

1. "What drives Schiavo's husband" ?
Edited on Thu Mar-24-05 09:55 PM by tridim
Uhm, his brain-dead wife maybe?

I'm so glad I'm a basketball fan.. I have something else to watch.

Edit: Anyone else think he looks a bit like Christopher Walken in that picture.

4. His brother actually gave a good interview on "Countdown" tonight.
He said how distressed his brother was that people hated him so for this. He also expressed his family's anger at Jeb and Shrub and Congress for getting involved in something that was NOT their business.

If they re-run "Countdown" again in your time zone tonight, it's worth watching that segment.

I would. I'd sue every one of their asses. Especially Tom DeLay, Bill Frist and both Bush brothers.

22. Just to get the ball rolling I'd sue Pat Boone first.......
According to Pat"jesus" Boone Schiavo BEAT his wife so badly that he had to call 9/11 back in 1990.Thats what ultimately led to her being brain dead.

Sue that fucker first, then go after the rest....

had several opportunities in the courts and been turned down. As if Terri herself were filing in court opposite her husband!

6. We got to stand back here
I mean, what drives Terry's husband is as legitimate question as what drives the parents (besides right wing deep pockets on parents part.) I mean, wouldn't you have thrown up your hands and walked away from this a long time ago. I think I would. Do I really know for sure? nobody--nobody knows-or will ever know, barring a hereafter, what this woman feels or doesn't feel. Can you be absolutely sure you have made the right decision?--

To me Mr S. looks overwhelmed, exhausted--understandable

9. I hope the ACLU helps her husband. He has been libeled and slandered by
the press. Just the documents on a few publice web sites prove it. Especially the one from the daily kos that lists the report done by the impartial person from the social services agency.

This is so wrong.

13. I don't know but it is just wrong to demonize him for ratings.
The headlines and lead stories could be put in the context of the 15-year battle he has fought to let her die in peace but that would elicit sympathy instead of stirring everyone up.

16. Don't forget control of the situation
They're demonizing him so the republicans can be right about this issue. They can't win on anything else so they have to "win" this issue. That way they can get people rilled up on other issues like with SS and the judges Bush wants.

17. Check out MSNBC's propaganda now: "Another Setback"

"Another Setback?" Setback for whom??? Gee, let me guess. :grr: Then below: "Doctors disagree on her condition." Bullshit. They're just recycling the same anti-choice Dr. William Cheshire for the nth time.

You're absolutely right, montana500 -- the corporate media has to be taken to account for this kind of pandering propaganda.

20. What ever happened to the idea of "death with dignity?"
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 07:17 AM by gasolineboycottday
It's too bad the poor woman (Schiavo) couldn't come-to for 20 seconds just to let everyone know she wanted to die...

This is "GOP theatre" like I've never witnessed in all my life and it's absolutely disgraceful and wicked.

If I woke up out of a coma for a few seconds and saw myself in that condition I'd say "kill me now you ****wads!"

What ever happened to the idea of "death with dignity?"

24. The media is the enemy
In my humble opinion, we don't need to get a grip on the media, we need to destroy them and rebuild.

The few media organizations we have left are owned by the corporations. Both groups are the enemy, they are out to destroy us, shouldn't we at least try to return the favor?
