I Sent $25 to AZ Dem Party today
They sent me a direct mail piece asking for a contribution.

The smallest amount to contribute on the form was $105, but there was an "other $_____" box. So I checked there and sent them $25. $105 is too much for me right now, but $25 is far better than nothing at all.

Local and national offices of the Democratic Party depend on the small, regular contributions of ordinary people.

I Hope others remember to make small frequent contributions, rather than just big gifts in the months before elections.

3. Donating to state parties might be a better way to go

I'm pretty disgusted with the DC Dems right about now.

4. The only thing more disgusting than the DC Dems right now...
...are the DC Repubs, and there will be more of them in '06 unless we empower the less disgusting of the two.

We need to take a lesson from the Religious Reich, whose triumphant march we have been witnessing lately. They were abhorred and disgusted with the Republican Party; but the continued to build their base and to support their party, even though it was deeply flawed in many ways from their perspective. Eventually they got to a point where they got their party in power, and then they crossed their arms and told the Repubs, "well, who do you think got you in power? You OWE us".

We need to support and empower Dems, even ones we are disgusted with, because things sure as hell are only going to get worse if we do nothing at all and allow the the mongrel hoards of Bible-beating, tax-cutting, poor-despising, environment-raping, union-busting, treasury-bankrupting warmongers, aka the Republican Party, to continue to assume power unopposed.
