Folks, you're missing out if you're not monitoring FOX cable news ...
Gosh, normally I'd lock out this channel, but TODAY they are so damn entertaining ... Whirling Dervishes are taking notes as we speak. <eg>

Really, it's pure entertainment to listen to the Fundies preach at the FOX and Friends "talking heads" ... no way are they going to calm down. The hosts of FOX are almost at a loss as to how to contain THE MONSTER (The Fundy Uprising) that they helped to create.

Pop some corn, this is gonna be good. :-)

The circus started yesterday.

At 8:30, are these they two kids who were busted? YES!!!!

If you are interested in the "kids" angle, read http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x3341127

22. They should be banned from using the title FOX "NEWS" It's not news
it's 24/7 political pandering and opinion with snipits of news from other sources.

2. One little snippet ...
Some of Fundies are offering up their Kids to travel down to Florida to protest outside the hospice ... and hopefully get arrested!

Gee, do ya think this SIT is forming up to a Jerry Springer type ambiance? How can these so called Christians put their beloved children is such a situation? I bet they see that "liberal" news media there to film their little ones and hype how much they luves the culture of life.

12. Look at the upside. When our abusive police taser black Americans,
even when they're handcuffed, very little happens. But if they lose their heads and even threaten one right-to-lifer with a taser, then this taser madness will be over because it will be the next celebrated cause for right-wingers.

14. I know this is cold, but if I were a police officer sent to break
up a Fundy protest, I'd be thankful for access to a taser. No, I would not use it unless absolutely necessary. However, not unlike people high on cocaine and PCP, seemingly possessed Fundamentalist nut cases can act out with intense power and threatening violence.

Yikes! My goodwill and prayers will be for the Police Officers who will be ordered to confront these religious wack jobs.

23. You don't suppose it has anything to do with I John 4:9-10?
Love of God: His Love Manifested Through His Only Begotten Son
Jesus Christ is the Love of God. "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins" (I John 4: 9-10).

Afterall, those fundies can be oh sooooo dramatic!

6. You're right, nobody has told the fundies "NO" recently.
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 08:45 AM by ElectroPrincess
Like the far right wing, the Fundies will throw a full blown hissy fit if this follows through.

The RW and Fundies remind me of spoiled children and young adults. They think that they are ENTITLED to always be right.

IMHO bless the court system, justice is presently being served.

You know, just the half hour I've listened to FOX cable, I do think Michael Schiavo may have a VALID case to sue FOX. They have lied and trashed this man. Sick sick people since Michael IS PRESENTLY her legal guardian. FOX is deliberately spinning in favor of Terri's Parents and Brother. It's so apparent that it would be hilarious IF this were not such a tragic case.

They're having the nut cases call in ... Whoa! Hold me?!?

On edit: They are hyperfocusing on Michael Schiavo. Damn they suck. :P

4. Fox and CNN: Birds of a feather
They stirred up the masses by treating discredited nurses and fundie healers as news sources. They supported this fanatical minority.

I hope the whole world sees how biased they are. You can get better news coverage from the National Inquirer.

7. Oh gosh, some "disabled representative" is on now ...
Hello? Terri's a little more than disabled, can we say cerebral cortex "brain dead" with NO hope of recovery.

Disabled!?! She has NO chance of any COGNITION for Heaven's sake!

Now the FOX friends are talking about their family members for anecdotal evidence.

Unbelievable ... haven't seen much more morally depraved as this.

Guess what advocacy group this guest represents? "Not Dead Yet."

Here's a hint: When you've had a flat EEG and degraded cerebral cortex for 15 years, many consider you brain dead vice disabled.

5. Call/email faux
They just flashed the phone number and email address to talk live.

I think it was 1-800-tell-fox & friends@fox.com

If you do reach faux, you will be speaking with a producer who screens calls. You need to convince him/her that what you will say on air is "worthy".

13. I only watched a few minutes this morning.....
...I couldn't stand watching the "fake" expressions of concern on their faces while agreeing with some whack-whack THIS IS MURDER !

I wish there was an FCC rule about what should be called 'news' and what should be labeled with a viewer advisory that not all experts are what they appear to be.

17. Oh, here's a suggestion, just tune in for the first 10 minutes and don't
view the screen. It's much more palatable that way. One has to know one's political enemy to fully understand how to counter them. I enjoy studying "the other side." They "freak me out" but it's also entertaining in a warped sort of way. Also, seeing their marked hypocrisy helps remind me to be grateful for liberal insight. :-)

And they were even more hysterically insane than I remembered. Especially Hannity and his pathetic attempt to shout down Jim Moran because he was making too much sense for FAUX standards.

21. Standard tactic of Hannity
I can't stand watching the man but turn it on every once in a while just for amusement. Hannity will talk slowly and deliberately to a guest that he agrees with or that he can use for gain, but any liberal is going to get a rapid fire list of questions, not let them get a word, and stick on a question that has nothing to do with the subject that was to be discussed until the guest gets so frustrated that they start yelling at Sean to let them speak. The liberal always ends up looking like a nutjob, and Hannity's mission is accomplished.

24. Gosh, they have Jim Moran on again ...
It's just sick! I don't understand why the democratic representatives can't "get together" and decide that FOX is NOT a news network. If all the democratic politicians would boycott FOX, then maybe, just maybe people would see this trashy Cable Info-tainment network for what it really is ... Right Wing Propaganda.

And I get the distinct impression that they will NOT allow Terri to die in peace. It's going to get a whole lot more interesting. This is one "run away train" that the Neo-Cons will NOT be able to control.

That's precisely why I'm monitoring FOX: The Religious Fundamentalists are just getting started and will NOT back down. Not Ever.

One aspect about religious zealots that you can respect to a certain extent: They take a VERY PERSONAL interest in their work and do NOT back down.

Jebbie must be beside himself with "high anxiety." Why? Because if you cross Fundies, even only once, they do NOT ever forgive. If Jeb does NOT send in the troopers, he will pay a high price, i.e., will not get the Fundy base support for his Presidential bid.

Too funny (weird way) that FOX is trying to turn the Sheeple's attention to an Amber alert. It won't work. But damn, ain't it fun to watch Mark Klaus spew his venom. Sick sick stuff!

Stay tuned. ;)

Fri 02:17 AMRadical Christian, Anti-Gay Activist and Schiavo Spokesperson Randall Terry Jokes About Being Homosexual
Randall Terry, spokesperson for the Schindler family, was a guest on Alan Colmes' radio program last night as a follow-up to his aborted (pun intended) interview the night before on Hannity & Colmes. Colmes confronted Terry about his irrational statements about Terri Schiavo and about his past as a radical anti-abortion crusader. I found Terry's answers inconsistent and bizarre, especially when this supposed ultra-Christian made a joke about being Colmes' homosexual lover.

Thu 11:35 PMALERT! Terri won. Get over it.
Today (3/24) FNL turned itself into a "Special Edition" with Rick Folbaum & Brigitte Quinn so we could all overdose on Terri Schiavo, complete with incredibly saccharine music, photos from Terri & Michael's wedding, & copious gushing of the phoniest "concern" I've ever had the dubious privilege of seeing.
