"A tube that is present only at mealtimes"...right. A tube that needs surgery to insert. These people are purposefully lying. As if we didn't already know that. Realistically, which procedure did Terri Schiavo undergo? The first is for short term use, the second is for longer term use. They actually want people to believe this woman is subjected to IV sedation and tube insertion by a physician three times every day?

http://health.allrefer.com/health/stomach-tube-insertion-info.html

"This is often done through endoscopy (a long tube placed through the mouth into the stomach) by a gastroenterologist. Local anesthesia and intravenous sedation are used.

It may also be done surgically. While the patient is deep asleep and pain-free (general anesthesia), a small incision is made on the left side of the abdomen. A small, flexible, hollow tube (catheter) with a balloon or flared tip is inserted into the stomach. The stomach is stitched closed around the tube and the incision is closed."

"Is Terri unresponsive and hooked to life support machines?

.
Absolutely not! Terri is purposefully interactive, alert, curious, lovely young woman who lives with a very serious disability. She lives free of any life support machines and receives nutrition through a tube that is present only at meal times.

8. Abolition of Soc. Sec. led by scions of America's wealthiest families.
You just creeped out my day, oh well. And they're all for philanthropy. :eyes: I am so glad Pete (Heritage Foundation) Coors isn't one of our state's senators.

at the end of the article:

"According to the AJB article, many of the players received money from the Philanthropy Roundtable,
... a collection of foundations that have funded conservative causes ranging from abolition of Social Security to anti-tax crusades and United Nations conspiracy theories. The Roundtable members' founders include scions of America's wealthiest families, including Richard Mellon Scaife (heir to the Mellon industrial, oil and banking fortune), Harry Bradley (electronics), Joseph Coors (beer), and the Smith Richardson family (pharmaceutical products)."

4. Whenever I see the word "disabled" in reference to this one,
I think that "unabled" should be a word.

Maybe it is now?

5. I saw this on Faux news yesterday for a brief minute. I couldn't believe
they were really saying things like that. They are trying to make it look like those who removed the feeding tube are guilty of murder. I think they are setting up some kind of political scenario for the future.

They use lying as a tool now with out any shame or remorse.

7. I've been thinking about the "eyes tracking"
that comes up now and then. If a good portion of her brain is no longer there, wouldn't she be blind? It takes the brain to interpret what the eye is seeing.

10. My grandmother has a feeding tube....
and there is no way in hell that the feeding tube is ONLY present during meal times. What in the world are these people smoking??

These people are just trying to gain supporters to their side, nothing more. They're willing to flat out lie in order to keep her alive.
