Did anyone catch Tucker Carlson on "This Week" with GS?
Edited on Sun Mar-27-05 11:46 AM by givemebackmycountry
I only caught a few minutes before they were going to break at the thirty minute mark.
They were doing what I would call a "parting shots" like they do on ESPN's Sports Reporters, on opposite this show.

First, Sam Donaldson says oil is going to hit $70.00 a barrel and that in a few months the economy is going to be going downhill, instead of up.

Next up, sorry I didn't catch her name, nor did I catch what she said, but it was nothing earth shattering.

Finally, Bow-Tie Boy Tucker Carlson spews this little gem:

"This week it will be revealed that the so called "Talking Points" memo that was leaked last Sunday saying that the Republicans can "make hay" out of the Schiavo situation, will be proven to be a forgery and probably attributed to the Democrats. They even mis-spelled her name in the memo"

Lovely. Now they are going to blame this on us and not Delay.
This guy needs to be dragged out in the street and pelted with rocks.

And if it is true, and it better not be, I'm going to want some names.
I am going to want who ever is responsible out on their ass.
I'm going to want some blood.

I'm getting tired of this shit.
Tired of the arm wrestling on every single point of minutiae.

We better get in the game here pretty quick.
Where the hell is Dean?

4. Yes... and what is this talking head-monopoly these ......
people seem to have? Carlson already has a 1/2 hr on PBS. GS is on screen ad nauseum. Ditto Wm Kristol. Brooks is regurgitated regularly. And the other RW-er... used to be on the news hour, now has his own Fri Nite show after Carlson... can't rememeber the name something to do with WSJ.

These people get plenty of air time. What about the rest of the world... even the rest of the punditocracy?

5. Sounds like a bad joke.
The Democrats had no reason to forge any memos. Were the proceedings in congress forgeries, too?

Sen. Lautenberg calls for investigation into who distributed Schiavo talking points

Dear Chairman Lott and Ranking Member Dodd,

Late last week, the attached document was apparently distributed to Republican Senators. The document consists of “talking points” relevant to the private relief legislation for Terri Schiavo. The document is not on any letterhead, nor is its source identified. According to media reports, the document was distributed on the floor of the Senate to a number of Senators by the Republican leadership. Senators Frist and Santorum, however, have denied distributing it, which raises the possibility that it was distributed by staff.
The distribution of anonymous materials on the Senate floor is troubling. There is a policy in place – at least among the Democratic conference – requiring that any materials to be distributed to Senators on the floor must bear the signature of one or more Senators. This is an important safeguard to identify the source of information and protect the integrity of such materials. Those who would attempt to influence debate in the United States Senate should not hide behind anonymous pieces of paper.

8. Well Tucker, now the memo is going to get scrutinized . . .
And it will get even MORE press!!! HA HA HA HA HA!!

And he's basing this on the assumption that repugs can spell and Democrats can't? IT IS TOO FUNNY FOR WORDS!

10. Mispronounced her name too.
It was those idiots Delay and Sensenbrenner who wouldn't even take the time to find out how to pronounce her name correctly. "She-A-vo" they said.

11. And the proof of the forgery
is that is was clearly typed on a computer that uses Windows XP instead of the more common Windows 98 that congressional staffers have access to. Plus, the email account that leaked this forgery was traced to France.

12. But -- But that would mean -- NYAAAH!!
Gee ... makes ya wonder how Tucker would know before everyone else that said memo was a forgery ... kinda like all the Repunks seemed to know that CBS memo was a forgery before everyone else ... it is almost as if ... could it be ... that THEY WROTE IT THEMSELVES?!

Please tell me it couldn't be so!

Next thing you know you'll be telling me professional wrestling matches are fixed, too!

13. Moran!
Tucker is an idiot. I saw that at the end of Tweety's show. Tweety waved him off. Tucker said "all the bloggers are talking about it." (the memo being a forgery from the democrats). Tweety asked him what his proof was, and all he said was that TS's name was misspelled. I have a feeling that this TANG forgery business will come back to bite them someday soon, too.
