8. And that would be --
the incredibly articulate, always pleasant, Dem spokesperson Ann Lewis.

Terrible tragedy in the family a few months ago. Ann's daughter was murdered, possibly/probably/definitely(?) by her husband.

9. Both, plus an interesting award
A.B. from Harvard College, 1962; J.D. from Harvard Law, 1977, while serving in the Massachusetts state legislature.

Each election year The Washingtonian magazine surveys Congressional staffers to pick the winners (or losers) among our legislators in various categories. In 2004, in the category "Brainiest", Frank was the top-scoring House Democrat. The magazine reported that the voting was on partisan lines, with Bill Thomas the "overwhelming choice" of Republicans and Frank of the Democrats.

There may be some DUers who care less about "Brainiest" than about who in each chamber topped other categories, like "No Rocket Scientist". Full results here: http://www.washingtonian.com/inwashington/bwcongress.html

6. Weldon claims to be a 'scientist'.
He holds a degree in science but has never used it so I don't feel like he qualifies.

12. do you think
Barney would be a good presidential candiate? He certainly seems very presidential to me....just thinking out loud....perhaps the sister could serve in a prominent cabinet post (shades of Jack and Bobby Kennedy...) maybe I am just dreaming here?

15. How about a Frank/Obama ticket?
Edited on Mon Mar-28-05 11:45 PM by Hand
It'd be a sure winner--all the freepers heads would explode into little tiny pieces the minute they were nominated. After that, it's a cakewalk!
