Another question about the constitutionality of the Schiavo vote

Many touched on the threat to the separation of the branches, on harming the checks and balances.

What I wonder is about the Senate vote. Only three senators agreed and this was considered a pass:

"The Senate passed the bill Sunday afternoon by unanimous consent, with only three senators present."

Can they do this? Don't they need a quorum to pass any bill? Can anyone educate me about this?

nobody did... so yes you can meet in the dead of night and do this... nobody has abused power this way, EVER

2. Thanks. We should not be surprised, I suppose if the next vote

will be about attacking Iran, or N. Korea?

Is it even worth writing our senators and ask them?
