1. Consider the source
Those of us in the Pittsburgh area know that it's not easy to be "fascist enough" to please the editorial writers at the Trib. Even if we ignore Santorum's atrocious record on - well, everything - the writer's claim doesn't hold up. Look at the fact that this writer is turning "pragmatism" into a synonym for "unprincipled." Since when? I'm certainly not defending Santorum, but I see no value in being such an ideologue you can't get anything done.

3. I think the right wing fanatics are starting to feel a little used
That's what the Republicans get for thinking they could rile up the extremists into a veritable orgy of hatred and fear, and then not, as it were, "put out" every time.

5. The truth as told by the Culture of Life? This is the group that expects
to be raptured because they believe in Jesus? What a bunch of selfish pigs. Well I don't think their cars will be careeming out of control when they are 'puffed.' Sounds like they are preparing for the long haul...It's all about their SUVs and tax cuts. Jesus says, "To Hell with everyone else." Oh, I am sure that everyone of them has a yellow ribbon to support the troops.

From FR (the list that thinks everyone else owes them):

"George Voinvoich, who won't support making the tax cuts permanent because of the budget deficit.

Gordon Smith, who helped kill the reductions in Medicare spending.

Lincoln Chafee, who, well, doesn't vote like a Republican at all.

Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, who do just a bit better than Chafee.

Lamar Alexander, who, along with Voinvoich, opposed the moratorium on internet taxation.

Norm Coleman, who didn't support ANWR drilling.

John McCain, for Campaign Finance Reform and a longer list of offenses.

Orrin Hatch, for buddying up with Ted Kennedy on "hate crimes" legislation."

9. Yeah, I guess Senators who don't want to bankrupt the nation
for the sake of an ideological agenda aren't worthy to be in the Republican party.

7. So I guess that posting in Freeperville
"Want to know more about Santorum? Google frothy anal lube," would not work too good, huh.
