Dean ABC Interview on 20/20 on now (east coast)...
Edited on Thu Jan-22-04 10:44 PM by cthrumatrix
on edit: the interview was terrific...those on the west/mnt time zones ...it is a much watch.

The more you see of "both Howard and his wife Judy"...the more you like.

He comes off as a strong, sensitive, ethical person who repsects his wife tremendously, and puts thier relationship first in all priorities.

There was much much more...a must see.

1. Jesus Christ
If people are really basing their votes on the fact that the man yelled during a speech, I fear for this country. This interview is ridiculous.

2. I Would Like To See Judith
but as far as Dean having to explain his speech, meant to rally the volunteers who's hearts were broken that night. I'll watch David Letterman.

3. this is a terrific interview
getting to see them together...

when dean said of the now infamous speech "i was giving them my everything because they gave me their everything," that killed me... i believe in this man so much, and it truly pains me how he's been treated.

4. it was an "outstanding 1/2 hr. interview " with both Dr Dean/Dr. Judy Dean
Diane Sawyer asked all the question you can imagine: the shreek in Iowa, their relatiosnhip, thier famiy values, etc...

I cam away respecting him and her even more.

6. What an embarrassment
For Diane Sawyer. I simply don't understand how a person can live with herself and be such a putz. The 30 minute interview was one long painful repetitious insistence on making Howard and his lovely wife Judy defend themselves against 60 seconds out of their entire lives.

I think Howard and Judy came off as well as they possibly could given the horrendously stupid questions they were repeatedly asked. How many times did Diane Sawyer try to get Judy Dean to admit that Howard has a temper? I mean, the press are all saying it, come Judy, he must beat you every night!!

Howard and Judy certainly showed that they are a close and loving couple, that they are real people, that they are themselves and will not ever be canned versions of themselves.

I fear that a country in which almost half the population voted for the good old boy from Texas who was actually born in Connecticut to privilege and private schools won't care for the unvarnished humanity that Howard and Judy exemplify. Although they should.

7. It certainly gave me an insight I would never have had...If America saw
this tonight...they would very much like Howard as a "person" and they make a wonderful couple...president or not.
