FINALLY!--W is uniting not dividing
Edited on Fri Apr-01-05 10:23 AM by underpants
That legislative action is distinctly unpopular: Not only do 60 percent oppose it, more — 70 percent — call it inappropriate for Congress to get involved in this way. And by a lopsided 67 percent-19 percent, most think the elected officials trying to keep Schiavo alive are doing so more for political advantage than out of concern for her or for the principles involved.

Aggravating GOP frustrations are disturbing new polls, including a CBS survey that found that 82 percent of Americans -- including a whopping 68 percent of people who identify themselves as evangelical Christians -- think Congress's intervention was wrong.

3. The worm has turned?
Here in West Texas I'm starting to see hope. Our friends who voted for Bush and defended him 100% are starting to gripe about things now. They are really mad about this Schiavo story, government interference in personal lives.

Also they aren't happy about paying over $2/gal for diesel. This effects their businesses. Construction bids made 3 months ago are now no longer profitable jobs. They are also mad about China & Japan buying our debt and the defecit. They usually won't talk politics around me but now they want to vent.
