2. When Bush met with the Pope a year or two ago . . .

The Pope spent the entire meeting scolding Bush for his positions on Iraq and the Death Penalty. The Pope actually personally called Bush twice when he was Gov of Texas to plead with him not to execute certain deathrow prisoners, but Bush basically said "fuck you" and did it anyway.
In 2004, Bush would go to Catholic groups and talk about how he'd met the Pope, how amazing it was and how they both agreed so much on "life" issues. Hahahahahah!!! Sadly, many bought it.
