Poll question: Is Kerry's anti-nuclear option push a hint of a Bolton filibuster?
Edited on Fri Apr-01-05 02:45 PM by cestpaspossible
Why raise this now, unless the Democrats plan a filibuster soon? Perhaps they think they have a better chance of peeling away some Republicans if the battle is about Bolton and not about a Supreme Court nominee... what do you think?

Will the Senate Democrats filibuster the Bolton nomination if it makes it to the floor?

1. Possibly. I think Kerry views Bolton with disgust since IranContra days

and spoke against him when Bush hired him in 2001. No doubt Kerry loathes Bolton and everything he stands for.

2. Unless they can stop it in the Foreign Relations Committee
I think I read that all the Democrats on the committee are against Bolton - particularly Kerry. The question is whether they can get 2 of the Republicans.
