2. taking the high road

I guess my feeling is that these types of events do nothing to help the democratic party. I absolutely can't stand Buchanan, Krystal, or Coulter or their rhetoric, and I switch TV channels whenever they are on. But, the very least we can do is be civil in public. They were asked to speak at an event, and even though we might disagree it is not appropriate to physically attack them. We, as democrats, should be taking the high road and not stooping to revenge tactics.

3. I'm with you Biology - while fun to see it only reinforces

the wingnuts crys of "loonie left".

We need to get speakers out there who can hold their own with the screamers on the right. And show them for the fools they are.

I want to hit they with "word pies" not "cream pies".

11. I see your point...

but sometimes it seems that these tactics are all that are left to have our voice heard. When we have no media, no representation, etc., many people resort to this, and I do not totally condemn it under such circumstances. Even though I would do it differently (shout - that's shout, as in yell, by the way ;) - him down, march en masse into the room with chants, put a banner in front of the podium...), we must make a stand and let ourselves be heard.

Sometimes being civil gets you nowhere.
