The Era of Big Clinton Is Over
DEAN DOES THE DISHONORS

Former Vermont Gov. Howie Dean annoys a lot of people. Many of them Democrats. But no one is more annoyed at him than the would-be leader of the party, Bill Clinton. . . .

. . . According to a Dean staffer in Iowa, Clinton has sent Dean a message through intermediaries to stop using him as a political scratching post on the campaign trail. Dean, though, as late as last Friday was still using Clinton as an example of what is wrong with the Democratic Party.

and then this email I received: http://sendcard.clark04.com/sendcard.php?view=1&id=GqthzGHtnJEW

This is a message from Bill Clinton to Friends of America

Dear Friends of America,

Happy Holidays!

Instead of buying me a present this holiday, I encourage you to make a contribution to the Clark for President campaign.

Wes Clark is the best candidate to fix the domestic and international challenges facing America today.

The greatest gift you could give me this holiday season is a contribution to Clark for President. Please contribute to the Clark campaign!

Wishing you a safe and secure Holiday season,
Bill Clinton

1. I believe that is an
endorsement! And if you think it isn't, tell why you don't think so!

7. From your article
"Says a Clark adviser in Washington, "This really had little to do with Clark policy and everything to do with President Clinton wanting someone to defend his honor. He was angry that no one had stepped up before now." "

....

Too bad the holiday message is a phony. It might make things more interesting if Clinton really did 'endorse' Clark.

3. Sorry, friend...
... but that's pure crap.

"Dean, though, as late as last Friday was still using Clinton as an example of what is wrong with the Democratic Party.

Dean has called Bill Clinton the greatest political talent in a generation. He has said he would ask Clinton to mediate the Israeli/Palistinian situation. He has said Clinton had great foreign policy and domestic policy, and refused to comment on the personal "scandals."

Clinton wasn't perfect and no leader is going to be, but far from Dean "using Clinton as an example of what is wrong, I have only seen Dean trying to emulate what is right.

10. the spectator is a right wing lying rag
they have been trying to create the sense that the clinton's and others are all in plan to bring down howard dean. and how we better watch out or some crap like that. and so what if clinton supports clark or any other candidate other than dean ? how about gore supporting and endorsing dean ? is it ok for one to endorse and not ok for the other to even like or favor someone ?

13. Al Gore has been sending requests to donate to HD to his list
Frenchie gave you a legit link. Let's see who has more devoted followers.
I was fiercelly politically in Gore's corner, but after meeting him twice at Columbia in 2001, and his failure to answer any of my latters, I stayed personally detached. Quite differently with the Big Dog, whom I hugged in 2001 and have a crush on ever since. It helps that he also answers his mail. Man never lost a supporter - from the begining of his political career. Has a way of keeping up with them.
