2. No
Two Senators didn't seem to work this time around.

Also beyond the Hillary factor Obama is more a newb than Edwards was.

4. No way. Anybody But Clinton/Obama '08.
She's divisive and would be the best fund-raising tool the Repooplicans could ask for. I REALLY hate to see her being "anointed" at this point. We have a lot of good potential candidates, and she is by no means the best of them. Looks to me like she's been pretty busy selling out to the DLC crowd and appeasing the GOP.

14. She is well respected. Decisive is just the brush the rovbots have
been painting her with for years. She is a fiscal conservative.. so is every other Western nation. Canada's Liberal Party are fiscal conservatives but social Liberals. When they have the money..they institute stuff like child care and improving Medicare. And they vote for things like the Kyoto treaty.

There is a world of difference between Clinton and others. I think Obama is too green. People will not see him as a leader because he is a first term Democratic Member and he needs to grow a little. Now is not the time for younguns like him to put their careers on the line. First the Democrats needs some actual power again, and then they can let Obama be Obama.

Clinton & someone... perhaps Richardson?

17. How about...
.... not Clinton and not Obama.

Clinton is the most divisive politician in recent history and Obama looks like a rising star whose initial votes leave questions about his sanity.

There is NOBODY in the Senate right now that is going to win the presidency, IMHO.

6. LOL. I thought at first that said Clark/Obama
And I was going to say (regarding Clark/Obama) that I really liked Obama a lot during the convention. I also think a constitutional scholar like Obama is highly qualified. Does anyone know what he has been doing lately. I haven't heard much about his doings lately. Doing what most freshman senators do, I suppose...still probably getting his feet wet and acclimating himself to his surroundings, I imagine.

16. Clark as VP is a no-starter.
Forget about it.

Most people accept the VP postion because they want to be president someday. Clark will be 64 in 08'. And anyway he has a lot more interesting things to do with his life than to be VP.

Does Cheney still have ambition to be President in 2008 despite his age and ill health?

22. A major loser
One could argue the merits of such a ticket for an extended period, but the voters would not support it. We have a couple of years to develop a good candidate with progressive values, lets not waste it.

38. Two Senators... One is bad enough,
but add to that that one is Hillary, and the Republicans won't even have to try and steal this election... their base will come out in record force because they hate Hillary so much. She would mobilzed against her ticket for them.

Please, I really like Hillary and Bill. They weren't/aren't perfect people, but I always liked them a lot. They are just lightening rods that could turn the next election upside down or inside-out. To govern, we must begin to win elections. We must nominate a ticket that can challenge the Wingnuts in the Red States. And, a ticket with two Senators from Northern States -- one being Hillary -- is electoral plutonium. Please use the brain God gave you and recognize that.

We must start winning elections again.

TC
