1. Bush has yet to go under 40% in the corporate polls
I would love to see him under 10% though that would be magic.

3. I say 40% is the limit
That 40% of the American people are just lost, drinking the Bush flavored Kool-Aid. Nothing he says or does will ever convince them.

The other 11% that voted for him are just misguided and stupid, but their minds can be changed.

4. I agree in principle.
There's definitely a floor below which he won't go even if he were to nuke Austin. But I think you may be overestimating where that floor is. I'd say 30%.

10. I agree. Too many kool-aide drinkers out there
who will never change their minds about the Chimp-in-Chief. And even if actual numbers sink into the proverbial basement, Rove & Co. will make sure the numbers are spun and inflated right back up to acceptable levels, to maintain the illusions for their loyal sheep.

6. Did you see David Letterman last night?
He had a segment called "inappropriate laughing by President Bush" which was just sickening! He brought up bombing some foreign country, then burst into that horrid smile of his. Almost revisited my dinner, let me tell you.

15. How can you watch him? I absolutely cannot even listen to him.
I have never felt this way about any president, including Johnson, Nixon, Reagan, or Bush I.

12. LOWER...he mocked the Christian that he executed..
"Republican presidential candidate Gary Bauer criticized Gov. George W. Bush Tuesday for making fun of an executed Texas woman in an interview Bush gave to Talk magazine.
"I think it is nothing short of unbelievable that the governor of a major state running for president thought it was acceptable to mock a woman he decided to put to death," Bauer said of Bush.

Bush is portrayed in Talk as ridiculing pickax killer Karla Faye Tucker of Houston for an interview she did with CNN broadcaster Larry King shortly before she was executed last year. Just before her execution date, Tucker appealed for clemency on the grounds that she had become a born-again Christian.

" `Please,' Bush whimpers, his lips pursed in mock desperation, `don't kill me,' "

13. Base is
33-38%. I think it will sink to this level. You can see this range in a number of "agree with * " poll questions. To get lower he would have to nuke Utah or something. Once he gets below 40% there won't be many polls.

14. Officially, it will never go under 40%
Unofficially, it never went over 25% in the first place, apart from a brief "dazed & confused" period immediately following 9-11-01.

And I'm proud to say I didn't buy his bullshit then either.

16. The Bottom IS Dropping Out...
... but about 35% of the electorate will support him no matter what.

Bush'll hit the mid-30s level and stay there for whatever is left of his godforsaken term.
