1. "It's good and right to love life
to dearly love it in all its most humble forms. But these people don't love life - they revere it, which is a pagan and ignorant and perhaps even savage attitude." "Watchers" Dean Koontz 1987 p. 421

3. Nah
Enduring suffering is noble. That's not what they admire. They admire the people who inflict the suffering.

4. As Al Franken said...
To Republicans, life begins at conception and ends at birth; then it resumes when you're in a persistent vegetative state.

5. its a ghoulish cult of idolatry to the flesh, materialism devoid of spirit
2 Corinthians 3:6 "who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life."

dogma, tacking to the denotation of the written word kills.

it is the metaphor, the (Holy) Spirit that gives life because it is working in the realm of waking consciousness.

these intellectual weasels do not understand the difference between the connotation and the denotation of the metaphors found in the bible on this subject.
