Think about 2006, not 2008.
People have grown increasingly disenchanged with the GOP majority. There is a tremendous opportunity in 2006 to change the balance in Congress.

Yes, Democrats need a message. I'm not smart enough to know what that message should be, but I am attracted to themes of accountability, trust, transparency, pride in our system of government, and fiscal and civic responsibility, to counter the GOP excesses of secrecy, cryptic purpose, attacks on our system of government, and fiscal irresponsibility.

1. I must agree, we must regain control of Congress in 06
Both chambers must be won by the Democrats.
Then the true investigations can begin into what actually happened pre 9/11 and what bu$h and his regime knew and when they knew it.
The impeach bu$h process can begin.
It is vital that the Democrats win 06 and then force bu$h from office in disgrace, even if it on the last months or weeks of his term. That would be so the history books would know what really happened.

3. Impress upon the citizenry the import of government checks and balances.
Just as the founding fathers expressed in the writing of the constitution.

Bush has ALL the branches of government under his control. That is a dictatorship, not a democarcy.

No rubber stamps for Bush to go unchecked.
