Expose con-man Chris Shays of Connecticut for what he is
This guy was not only a vocal supporter of the Contract For America all during the 104th congress(1995-1997)but when Gingrich was in ethical trouble in earlky 1997, Shays went on Crossfire and every other network to defend Gingrich to the death.

"Its a case of not being able to respond to the message so go after the messenger" <---typical Shays Crossfire comment w/ovak in early 1997.

The A#*hole now is in a district where he only win with 52% of the vote so I guess his 64% win in 1996 brought out the real Chris Shays we all have known.

Support his Democratic opponent in 2006 and dont let Nancy Johnson off the hook either."Stonewall Johnson won a close race 50%-49% in 1996 due to her corrupt support for Gingrich on his ethical troubles plus she also was a supporter of the CFA.

The "liberal" blogs wont tell you this stuff so I will.

1. I suspected as much. He's just playing to the crowd.

He also voted against the new ethics laws Pelosi wanted today.

Never believe any of them.

2. We need to defeat him finally. He only won by 4% in 2004.

The problem is that the blogs have been too obsessed with looking ahead and missing the current election.

in 2000 the left was so obsessed with drafting John McCain that we overlooked the fact that the House was OURS to loose. When Mike Forbes switched partys , the GOP only led us 221-213-1 , and then the GOP had 26 retirements , most in marginal seats.

We only had 9 retirements.

I thought we had it.

In 2002 redistricting killed us , but we were so obsessed with "DRAFT so and so" for 2004 that we didnt make the best of our bad situation and got killed in the congressional elections. Again the GOP had about 25 retirements and we only had 12.

In 2004 we overlooked the forest for the trees again.

Shays started backtracking a bit starting in 1999 . Johnson did starting in 1997. Its just sad that in 1996 we defeated Gary Franks and had a 4-2 majority with Johnson nearly beat , now we are down 3-2 despite the fact that teh state has went heavily Democratic since then.

Johnson , Simmons , and Shays just keep slithering past us on their belleys every election cycle.
