The media should surrender now on the Delay matter.
Edited on Fri Apr-15-05 09:52 AM by kentuck
Tom Delay is going to be persistent in keeping his gravy job and will continue to be the crook he has been in the past. He knows the media does not have the appetite to report for any length of time on any subject - unless it is Michael Jackson or OJ...He knows that if he continues to hang on, eventually they will give up and he will win again. That is his strategy. Just like Bush was persistent in saying there were WMDs in Iraq until eventually nobdoy in the media questioned him about it, Delay is using the same strategy. He knows the weakness of the American media is its attention span.

1. I'm not going to let him blame Democrats as any kind of defense of his
corruption and crimes. And I'm an independent voter. Prosecute his corrupt ass and his pals too.

check out http://houseofscandal.org/. I think this will help along with the investigations going on. Now all we need is for some bookworm type pug to "repent" and spill the beans on *. Wishful thinking I know, but please, let it be my fantasy!

4. And since when has the Bush Oval Office allowed so much bad press

of someone they support?

RoachBoy may have enough power to threaten the GOP with no campaign money if they don't support him. But if he were carry out that threat, he'd have more power over the party than Rove and Cheney--and there's no way THAT'S going to happen. So Cheney publicly criticized RoachBoy's judge-threatening remarks, which pretty much declared open season on him. If RoachBoy "continues to hang on," Rove and Cheney will simply order the GOP to undermine him--and the results would NOT be pretty.

5. Yes, but there's a problem with that strategy
Delay knows where the bodies are buried. He's been intimately involved in all the GOP cloak-and-dagger shananigans over the past 20 years, iran/contra, savings and loan, haiti, enron, you name it. If he really wants to, he can make things very bad for Bush and Cheney.
