We are we attempting to take out DeLay?
We are we going for an ethics probe of DeLay? This man needs to stay in office until November 2006, and he needs to remain in his leadership position. The reason is that tying vulnerable Republicans, especially in bluish districts, to DeLay will hurt them enough that we could conceivably pick up a number of house seats. He's got to say, because he's more valuable to us doing damage to the GOP!

1. Agreed! Or...
They could have a bungled ethics probe using the "new" republican ruleset which will leave DeLay in office but make the republicans look even worse. Never know!

I'm sure it will all backfire though and we'll look bad somehow.

5. naw... just sit back, pop some popcorn
and enjoy the show. I think Randi Rhodes had it right. DeLay and his Texas oil cronies have something on Bush, so he won't take the lead in pushing him out...

But this is now a lipstick proof pig and as long as he's in the public eye he just looks worse and worse, no matter what he does.
(and welcome to DU, in case you were missed :toast:

3. Personally, I think that...
...approach is just as corrupt as what "they" do. Get rid of corruption, or embrace your own version of it. The choice is yours.
