The 30 Democrats who sold out ANWR
Here are the 30 Democrats who voted to allow drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife refuge. If only half of this group had voted the other way, the drilling provision would have been stripped from the House bill.

Arkansas: Berry, Ross
California: Baca, Cardoza, Costa
Florida: Boyd
Georgia: Bishop
Louisiana: Jefferson, Melancon
Minnesota: Peterson
Mississippi: Taylor
Missouri: Skelton
New York: Towns
Oklahoma: Boren
Pennsylvania: Brady, Kanjorski, Murtha
South Dakota: Herseth
Tennessee: Davis, Tanner
Texas: Cuellar; Edwards; Green, Al; Green, Gene; Hinojosa; Ortiz; Reyes
West Virginia: Mollohan

2. Neither surprising or discouraging in Pro-Oil Red States
I admit that I don't know a lot of the specifics of the ANWR vote.

However, in very pro-oil industry Red States like Texas and Oklahoma, it's not easy to keep good Democrats in Congress. Remember, that due to the skulduggery of DeLay, Texas got congressional districts drawn TWICE in order to nail Democrats.

As a Texas Democrat, I'd rather have SOME Democrats left standing. (My own congressman is one of DeLay's dogrobbers.) I imagine some or all of them voted defensively so that the GOP couldn't use their ANWR vote against them in future election cycles.

You might want to target those guys, but they're already in the GOP crosshairs. Assuming that y'all would like to re-capture Congress some day soon, let's hang on to the Democratic survivors from Texas and Oklahoma and save the indignation over this vote for when we're back in the majority. THEN, you can send 'em to the woodshed. OK?

5. Boren should never have been elected in OK
that man is such a DINO . Kaylin Free was a much better choice (but who asked me?).

6. Minnesota; Peterson
No surprise there. I wonder why he just doesn't fess up and switch parties formally.
