This is like a Hate Tsunami Watch. Here it comes and you better deal with it.

(Family Research Council's list of participating TV and radio)

This is going to be like listening to a Nuremberg Rally in 1930s Germany. We better know what we are up against because the churches are the local movements of the GOP fascist structure.

These will be the people taking over our local governments, police, and even US military to purge the country of Dems and progressives to maintain a permanent state of war in the guise of the Crusades and 'spreading democracy' or that 'sunrise' that Bush** isn't supposed to crow over.

2. STAND UP! The Presbyterians are doing it against Frist, one of their own
April 22, 2005

Hello West Asheville Presbyterian church and other Presbyterians throughout the United States:

I've known some fine Presbyterians in my time. THANKS TO THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH LEADERSHIP for this on the front page of today's New York Times:

Remember this: FRIST IS A DIVIDER though he be a Presbyterian.

Moreover, per your web page and as associated with your fine Social Issues: http://www.pcusa.org/101/101-social.htm

Social Issues
The General Assembly: Affirms.....its responsibility to speak on social and moral issues ....Reminds the churches that their duty is not only to encourage and train their members in daily obedience to God's will, but corporately to reveal God's grace in places of suffering and need, to resist the forces that tyrannize, and to support the forces that restore the dignity of all men as the children of God, for only so is the gospel most fully proclaimed;

thank you for your hard work, Presbyterian Churches of America. I hope, that since you are in Louisville, KY, where Frist's divisive meeting will take place, that you will have something to say about this matter come this Sunday, April 24th, 7 p.m.

Sincerely,

Item 1:

Religion at issue in judicial fight
by David D. Kirkpatrick and Sheryl Gay Stolberg

"....Among those scheduled to speak in the conference call is the Rev. Clifton Kirkpatrick, a top official of the Presbyterian Church U.s.A.

"One of the halmarks of our denominations is that we are an ecumenical church," Mr. Kirkpatrick said in an interview on thursday. He also said

Elected officials should not be portraying public policies as being for or against people of faith......"

Moreover, these are the bills that Dr. Frist has voted for in the past several months:

3. peel off the hypoChristians from the fundies
I'm not religions in terms of your standard religion. But it strikes me that here is golden opportunity that should not be lost to really highlight the hypocrisy of the fundies versus some Christians who have a social agenda, that Christ would have had, I believe.

4. It's all getting quite overwhelming, isn't it?
I'd like just one day that I didn't pick up a paper or tune in the news without saying "Omigod!...I can't believe they're doing this"!

The leaders of the house and senate turning over our country to religio-fanatics, Cheney offering support to "the nuke option" to ensure the approval of activist jurists, and Henry Hyde's admission that his party impeached a president as "payback" for Nixon's dismissal.

And that's just today.

Americans should not be swayed by such ploys, but I know people personally that are awallowing EVERYTHING this party is feeding them and begging for more despite their better interests.

Common people have been up in arms to end the Estate Tax, approve debtors prison through the Bankruptcy "Reform" act, and now to turn our government over to James Dobson.

Sometimes I wonder if mind control is in play and I wonder when I'll suddenly start spouting the party line myself.

Yes, It's all quite overwhelming.

5. There are only three Churches here in NJ...
that are carrying this thing, and one dinky radio station. And we have a lot of fundie churches around here.

Seems like it's getting pretty big play in other areas, though.

Overall, it scares the crap out of me. These guys are whipping up hysteria all over the country, and it's dividing us over pure bullshit.

I don't know where it's going to end, but it just might end badly.

I'm shocked that there won't be a simulcast in DFW.

Family Research Council non profit religious status:

let them know what you think of Frist and the gops destroying the constitution. Talk is cheap here among ourselves....and doesn't let THEM know we're mad as hell and not going to take it anymore... When are they going to start fighting the destruction of this country?

8. I, for one, am not afraid of these kooks
They are preaching solely to the already converted. Whether I watch it or not will have no effect on the little pea brains of the true believers, and so I choose not to.
