How would you make a commercial for any given Dem's presidential run?
Though she isn't my first choice at the moment, here is how I would do a Hillary commercial:

FADE UP "OMINOUS SOUNDING MUSIC" BEHIND UNFLATTERING IMAGES OF BUSH, DELAY, IRAQ WAR, , BIN LADEN, ECONOMIC CHARTS

SERIOUS VOICE OVER AS IMAGES FADE IN AND OUT OF EACH OTHER

VO: A faltering economy, high unemployment, job outsourcing, an administration and congress over reaching into your personal life, the rich are getting richer while you struggle from paycheck to paycheck, and our military embroiled in a quagmire in the Middle while Osama Bin Laden remains free... This is what 8 years of Republican rule has brought our great country... but there is hope...

VOICE OVER LIGHTENS UP. SOUNDS MORE HOPEFUL

FADE UP FLEETWOOD MAC'S "DON'T STOP"

FLATTERING IMAGES OF HILLARY AND BILL CLINTON FADE IN AND OUT OF EACH OTHER INCLUDING ECONOMIC CHARTS, MEETINGS WITH WORLD LEADERS, HILLARY STANDING BEFORE CROWDS OF CHEERING PEOPLE

VO: Remember the good old days? The largest economic expansion in a generation, unprecidented job growth, everyone was better off during 8 years of peace and properity, and we were respected everywhere in the world... We can be that country again... Don't stop thinking about tommorrow...

MUSIC FADES DOWN AS TEXT OF "CLINTON -PRESIDENT" FADES ONTO SCREEN.

Now, someone gimme a Wes Clark commercial!

2. Here's is my Clark commercial....
Edited on Sat Apr-23-05 03:28 PM by FrenchieCat
Fade in with a background of various senators and congresspeople talking on the senate and house floor, but their words are muted (mouths moving)...Close up on a mouth as it continues mouthing words....

(voice over)
We've heard a lot of talk coming out of Washington. (close up of mouth still showing)

They debate, they fuss and they fight. But in the end, it is us who must live with the results......

(screen changes to children in the classroom, then soldiers fighting in Iraq, then a factory with a "closed" sign on the door.

Next the image of the counter keeping track of our deficit climbing by the second)

(voice over)
We've given Washington more than a chance, and it's time to understand that Washington has been part of the problem and not part of the solution.

Well we've got a message for YOU, Washington. America needs a leader that will look after American's interest, and not continue the fight of petty party politics. We will no longer be satisfied with empty partisan rethoric.....we DEMAND workable solutions.

We must unite as a country and work together for peace, hope, prosperity for all of our citizens and for the future generations.

Wes Clark comes on and says...."I want to restore the American Dream before it falls out from the reaches of most Americans. America's greatest strength is the determination of it's people. Instead of talking AT you, I will listen TO you and THEN speak truth to power. I will make them listen to what America truly wants....positive and constructive progress for each and everyone of us.
Join me. Together, we can do this."

(voice over with a footage of Clark listening intensely to a person speaking at a town hall, and Wes shaking his head yes)

(Quiet femalevoice over)Maybe it's time for America to send a general to win the peace in Washington. Together and united, we can change the direction of our country. We have always had the will, but now, we've got the way......we can send a warrior for the people, and give Washington a real leader. This is OUR chance to restore the American Dream.

(Screen shows a logo of "securingAmerica.com"......and shortly after, a logo that simply says.....Clark for Americans in 2008)
"Washington shouldn't be about Washington, it should be about US.
America, it's now in OUR hands. We CAN do this."

9. Send it in to WesPAC
It is really too good to pass up. That's a very strong message!

I am tired of lip service myself, and I think many other Americans are too.

8. Here's mine for just about anyone
A 1930's recording of Happy Days are Here Again is playing in the backround as a black and white picture of long unemployment lines show on the screen, vacant factories show on the screen, homeless show on the screen, and a sheriff comes to forclose on a house.

The following text is read, There was once a Republican President who led the country to job losses, record forclosures, record bankrupcies, and record homelessness (as the words are read the picture colorizes) with his only solution coming right around the corner. No it wasn't him (picture of Hoover) but him (picture of Bush).

It took a Democrat to save us from Hoover's mess and it will take one to save us now. Vote Democratic, before it is too late.

10. I'd contrast what was going on in the world and what the Republican
Congress was doing. Use pictures/video.

For example,

"On a day when 3,000 auto workers were laid off from their jobs, your Republican Congress was passing legislation designed to increase the profits of the credit card companies and put the squeeze to your jobless neighbor."

"On a day when 1000's of United Airlines employees lost their full pensions, your Republican Congress was threatening our judges and our judicial system."

I have no facts available, but you get the idea.

11. "JUST LIKE US?"
It would have something to do with a NASCAR race and the cars going round and round, all the supposed Bush voters enjoying themselves, then the cars sputter, out of gas, one by one, until there is silence....cut to Bush talking about "I call YOU my base" at some rich dinner, caviar and champagne flowing......everyone in tuxedoes and evening gowns laughing as the NASCAR fans leave the race since there is no more gas to be had... quick photos of factories and assembly lines shut down, textile plants empty... as Bangalore and Guangzhou workers shop for goods at their new department stores... "YOU THOUGHT PRESIDENT BUSH IS "JUST LIKE US?" says the screen, fade to black.
