Poll question: Poll 2: Who is the most electable of the best of our leaders? Pres-2008
Edited on Sat Apr-23-05 04:58 PM by genius
The records of the Senators indicate that they best of them has voted Democrat only two more times than Republican in 2005. However, there are a number of House members with perfect voting records for 2005. These are Grijalva, Hastings (Fl), Kucinich, Lee, Lewis (GA), Markey,McKinney,Owens,Pallone, Payne, Schakowsky, Waters and Woolsey. As there are 13, it takes two polls to cover all the names. This poll combines the leaders with the highest poll numbers from the first poll with the last three names (alphabetically) on the list.

3. I've known Jan Schakowsky for 27 years,
and respect and admire her greatly, but I don't see her or anyone else on this list being electable as President in 2008.

6. None of these people can be elected President, so
I didn't vote. But I'm a big fan of McKinney, Lee, and Waters.

7. I wish we lived in a world where they all were electable.
I truly do, because whatever my own preference, it would be a better world.

We've got some work to do first, though.

10. You missed some good ones. I'm not voting for any of yours.
Feingold and Gore spring immediately to mind.

18. Their not mine. They are the top rated leaders, based on votes.
Feingold is at a - 20 on a scale of +100 to -100. The people listed above are at the top of the House Chart.

Gore is not rated as he's not in Congress.

14. I hate the term electable. It is essentially meaningless
That said, I would not bet on the chances of any of these folks becoming President, but voted for Lewis because I'm a fan.

15. Jan Schakowsky is more electable than the rest.
Still, I predict Clinton and Warner will be leading the pack next primary season.

21. Woolsey's my rep but, she is not going to run for President. And
electability has a very bad taste to me. Also I think if any candidate started to campaign on electability in 08 primaries they are finished.

22. Imo
It's not about "Electability", it's about the media.

Watch the video at this link and weep. Orwell's got nothin' on 2005... http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article8560.htm

and remember the media's motto... if it happened and you didn't hear about it....then it didn't happen. K?

23. PHONY POLL
This poll is meaningless. Unknowns are not electable, and Kucinich is not electable.
