Edwards Made Me Proud To Be A Democrat Last Night
I am a solid Clark supporter but Edwards’s answer about Poverty was expressed with such eloquence, sincerity and conviction he was absolutely mesmerizing! He almost put tears in my eyes and suddenly it was awesome to be a Democrat again!!!

Fox said he screwed up on the Islam question but I thought his answer was perfect. So what if he hadent studied everything about Islam. It had substance, depth and a real understanding about human relations. For the Fox people, brilliant answers like the one Edwards gave on that goes right over their heads. All they know is "push your power around". Well, diplomacy and real communication skills is what I call power. The power to prevent violence through understanding and not force. Edwards is top notch in my book. Still think he needs a little studying to do but he is so smart he will be ready by November.

I still think Clark is closest to my heart and will run the strongest against Bush because they can't play the Un Patriotic card against him or weak on Forign Relations card. As a guy who taught economics at West Point he is the whole package.

What a great group we have this year! I think Clark, Edwards, Dean and Kerry are all top notch and could give Bush one hell of a fight. Dean did well last night and if he had, had that tone earlier he would have won Iowa.

My Favorates in order of preference

Clark - The whole package. One weakness - Not a politician rough around the edges but he is the smartes candidate.

Edwards - He is hard to attack because everyone loves him. He is the next John Kennedy and beyond a great VP. He will be president one day.

Dean - A mavrick and an inspiration. The most unique candidate.

Kerry - Solid experience and always solid performance but not flashy enough and the North Eastern Democrat thing will kill us.

Kucinich - Can be brilliant on issues like Education but very flaky on some issues. Make him Education Secretary. His answer on Education last night was AWESOME.

Lieberman - Does not speek to my Democratic Heart but solid. He misses the point on Iraq. As Clark has said Usama should have been top priority then Iraq later. Dean nailed him on what that vote did. It killed a lot of Americans.

Sharpton - I love him but he was horrible last night. Federal Reserve??? Need I say more.

1. Note How Well Choreographed The Questions Were
Clark finally gets a Policy Question and its about Privacy

Clark's next question is about his Lobbying for Axciom (gotcha)

The very next question after Clark's was to Edwards about Lobbying and Edwards repeated the word Loggyist many times.

Please don't tell me that Edwards is "Postive".

He is also playing the "Class" card against his opponents.

2. That last post was about the same
tone as I got from NPR, except strangely they focused on a negative bite against Edwards on the gay marriage thing. As if this were the highlight of the debate, Sharpton accuses Edwards of harking back to states' rights about letting states handle this issue.

And I was thinking, except for the Feds butting in negatively, the SCOTUS said the same, and in fact, the way the legal system works most(all?) marriage issues are handled by individual states and have always been. But no, the Sharpton bite into Edwards was THE debate.

There were no examples given about Edwards being "negative" so give me a break. How savvy is he working the public jury? His intent and sincerity seem positively genuine to me and we have had a lot of examples to the contrary, none of whom have been able to read our liberal or progressives hearts, thought for thought, detail for detail for the very best that the Party has ever stood for.

And Clark? "Gotcha" is nice for someone who provides none of Clark's comeback. Implied slurs do not work well here- I hope.

A few brief instances of questionable behavior on the part of the poster.

3. I hope Edwards keeps playing the "class card"
all the way to the White House, personally. If Clark doesn't like it, he should start playing it too! No war but the class war...

5. EXACTLY. Talking about poverty shows you where his heart is. Talking
about class shows you where his head is.

This is the problem for MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of middle class Americans: we have jobs, but we are working our asses off to make other people rich while we go into debt.

I agree. HE WAS GREAT!

The other candidates should have followed Sen. Edwards' lead and talk about the issues of what's important to them, instead of answering the witch hunt questions that were posed by Fox "News" lackeys.

That would have been great to see General Clark talk about his tax plan when they asked him about him being a Republican. Would a republican roll back the tax cuts on the $200,000 earners and let those not making over $50,000 with two children NOT EVEN FILE A TAX RETURN?

Kudos to the Senior Senator from NC - I don't care if he is the Jr Senator (I DK) - he played that like a pro...
