No recess, no appointments on Bolton, judges
Any Senate or other Hill staff out there?

Is there any possibility that Senators could object to recess, and possibly force a vote on it after quorum has left town (if some last minute business drags on) to prevent there being a Memorial (or Fourth of July or August or Labor Day or as long as it takes) recess, so that Bush could be prevented from making recess appointments?

Think of it as a form of filibuster. Will the Senate rules allow for such a move? Can anyone be persuaded to give up their recess visits home (August will be really tough) to maintain such a tactic?

1. Shamless self-kick
to see if the night crowd thinks anything of this.

Just curious.
