Congress.org letters to Frist (Cat Killer)
Edited on Mon Apr-25-05 11:05 AM by Oreo
These are really a great read. You can see how deluded some of these nutjobs are. Mine is the one from Minneapolis.

Sen. Bill Frist

Senator Frist,

Thank you for standing firm on our right to have an up or down vote on judicial nominees.

It is why I have placed all my hopes in the Republican Party; to restore and firm up values that common sense says we must have to continue a viable America for our future.
Please do not back down, do not compromise, not this time. Judges have the last say on so many things that effect my children, they can restore discipline in our schools, our children, that the current liberal judges have destroyed. Hmmm... I thought conservatives are for less government. Isn't that the parents' job?

Please try to do the same with Mr. Bolton. I am so tired of seeing the Democrats still running congress, or think they do. It is why we put a majority of Republicans in charge; to undo what they have done.

Thank you for trying so hard.

Paul Malingowski dumbass... thanks for letting us know your name

1. Hee hee... the first three letters from his constituents in Tennessee
were all negative towards him.

But, he probably doesn't know it because he ignores those of us who think he's a cat-killing nutbag.

2. Some of these letters are great, but I fear...
they fall on deaf ears. I believe Paul Krugman was right when he said (today's column in the New York Times) that the Republicans don't listen to anybody but the religious right and big corporations.

3. Check this one out
Is this guy serious? Are people that stupid?

A well received Justice Sunday

Senator Frist,

I hope all went well this past Sunday. And I also hope you had on hand a large container of alcohol-based hand sanitizer, as I wouldn't want so important a senator to get the AIDS virus passed on to him through an inconsiderate admirer with sweaty hands.

I suggest using Purell brand. It has served me well over the years.

4. I believe that letter was satirical in nature
It's actually FRIST who is "that stupid". Here you have a guy who is supposedly a skilled heart surgeon and owner of the largest corporate hospital chain in America, and just in the last few years he made comments to the effect of the HIV virus being transmitted by tears and sweat.

5. One to Martinez
Whether the Senators read these or not, It's a good way of seeing just how many repubs are starting to get pissed

Subject:
Religious War

To:
Sen. Mel Martinez

April 25, 2005

I am one of a majority of Republican voters in this State who have concluded, or will conclude before the ’06 elections, that the judges the President has nominated have been selected because they will decide cases solely in accordance with their religious views, whatever the facts and law involved. We see this as a battle in a war to establish an Iran-like theocracy in this country and will vote out of office any incumbent who supports these nominees either by vote, by word or by silence.

Personally, I think the war will not be won by the extremists who have started it but that in the process the Republican party will fragment and lose power for decades to come. You are my Republican Senator. I will be watching every thing you say and do on this issue, as will millions of Republicans like me.
