This is great. Go look at LBN. This is why the DEMS retreated. Step back and watch them eat their own. The strategy appears to be working. Finally. Its been a long time coming, and I hope they will be long time gone...

1. There is a long, long, long way to go.
Are they wounded? Well, they have pricked themselves with the thorns of the rose of success. I would not underestimate them or start talking to interior decorators about redecorating the House Speaker's office just yet.

THere is a long road to travel just yet.

5. Latest breaking news
and I'll believe in the reeps' supposed "self destruction" when I see it.

I think this fascist machinery is far sturdier than many credit. It can be taken down, but not without active, constant pounding from our side.

6. um, I don't attribute the surrender of the dems to the current
problems of the republicans, anymore than you can praise the Germans who silently went along with Hitler and then claimed they had ended the Reich after he fell.

7. Yeah, if we lose 3 or 4 more elections there won't be anything
left of them.

8. I disagree
the Republican wins keep coming. Powel out, Estate tax repeal, bankruptcy reform, Rice at State, Wolf at the world bank, Rummy still Sec of State. Bush still pushing for SS reform, Iraq war continues, tighter abortion rules coming, our best thing is Bolton is a maybe and the Republicans are on the run?
