Operation Meow: Frist goes down NOW

Here in the mighty DU echo chamber, it's common knowledge that Bill "9-Lives" Frist, now emerging as the standardbearer of the religious reich, is a confessed cat killer.

But out there outside the DU Beltway (I-666 :evilgrin: ), for some reason (MSM asleep at the switch again), pretty much nobody knows this.

And so, we announce Operation Meow. Whenever Frist's name comes up, say "Meow!", then explain why. Most red-blooded Americans will be grossed out by ol' 9-Lives' cat-killing past. Really, they will. I refuse to believe that we have reached the point where we would knowingly elect a cat killer.

The key there is "knowingly". Wouldn't it be cool if all Frist's public appearances were dogged (sorry) by people dressed up like the cast of a certain long-running Broadway play and saying, "Meow! Meow!"

Aren't the repukes always bellowing "Character matters!"? Well, character does matter, and killing cats -- after pretending to adopt them, no less! -- to improve one's med school grades ain't cuttin' it. "That dog won't hunt" (sorry again)...

There is a great graphic that another DUer made that shows Bill Frist, R-Cat Killer and has his quote about killing cats. I have forwarded it to my cat-loving friends.

The man is nuts. Completely and utterly nuts and he admitted it when he talked about killing the cats!!!

What I'm counting on here is that few if any Evil DUers have repuke primary voters within their circle of friends. It's important to get the "Frist = cat killer" meme (meow-meow?) out to the mass of people in the middle; as usual, repuke primary voters will be the last to get the message -- and by then, it'll be too late! BWAHAHAHAHA! :evilgrin:

You have to sign a contract when you adopt a cat from a shelter saying that you will care for the cat. He adopted them, pretended to be friendly with them and then killed them.

That's a hundred miles away from killing feral cats because they are hunting and killing birds.

Having said that, you know that PETA and groups like that will be quite vocal about this. We're aiming for those groups. ;)

There should never be an event that isn't hounded (poor choice of words) by giant, sign-carrying felines. I never thought I could hate a Republican more, but as soon as I got wind of the cat killing, the level increased a millionfold.

but "PET killer" makes these same people think of their beloved dogs, or cats, or whatever, and therefore packs much more of a wallop.

So do I. I tell everybody I talk to about this. Even people who claim to hate cats finds this appalling. It's the dishonesty and the cruelty toward animals in general that seriously gets people pissed.

Which is very sad. And worse, those who dig it.

Someone above posted they were concerned this would not hurt Frist with some hunters. Well those who do not care about tortured animals will be willing to vote for him and his inhumane politics anyway. This is to raise the consciousness of those who DO give a damn about animal cruelty. Point out how he had to agree to take those cats as pets. Point out he TOOK THEM HOME for days and treated them as PETS before killing them in experiments he himself admitted were useless.

Imagine a TV ad. Show a man, but not his face, going into a shelter and selecting a pet. Show the Humane Society worker thanking the man for giving this animal a home, possibly putting it in one of those cartons that says "Thank you for giving me a home!". Next show the man releasing the cat in his apartment with a bunch of other cats. Then show him packing them up, taking them into the lab, then sticking them one by one into the cages there before preparing his surgical instruments all nice and shiney. Have a voice over in the last scene quoting Frist's book including the admission that the experiments were not actually useful. Then say something like "Do you trust this man with our country?" This ad was paid for Animal Lovers Against Frist.
