6. I don't think it's a replay, though. I saw Elizabeth on C-span by herself
this week, but this one was in a home in NH.

2. Very impressive speaker
Mind you, I'm not a Edwards supporter, but I think his wife is a wonderful speaker. Maybe I'll take another look at someone who had the great good sense to marry such a great women.

4. Coming up now, Hadassah Lieberman.....Great to see the Candidate wives!
The Elizabeth Dole segment was really good. She mentioned that Terry McAuliff had controlled what the Candidates said and she said, "...well it's that inside the Beltway stuff."

She wasn't happy with the debate questions. Seemed to feel they weren't down to earth that the voters might want to hear about.

She got a question after her talk from a young mom with a toddler about the Environment. The gal said she would like to hear more about the Environment because she thought it would resonante with the young voters. Elizabeth dodged that one which was disappointing, though.

8. The callers for Hadassah are interesting. Now a Freep is harassing
her. Guy is saying Dems are "Tax and Spend and have taxed his cigars!"
:D Must be a Rush ditto-head.

A Repug woman calls in and says she's changing her support to Lieberman, because she cares about health care and thinks that Lieberman could bring people together. Hadassah says we need someone who's nationally electable who will bring people together.

A Kucinich supporter calls in and says it's premature to count Kucinich out of the race, and mentions NAFTA and Corporatists and she says paperwork is hurting the health care system. Hadassah says go to Joe's website for his health care policy but Lieberman feels that health care for kids is the most important...and health care needs to be acceptable but we need to go step by step, and it will take awhile for this to be accessible for all Americans.

Hadassah says they are packing up their NH apartment they've been living in and she will feel nostalgic but since she's a "Naturalized Citizen" she's enjoyed meeting all the kids who are living in the building with her.

I didn't know she was a "Naturalized Citizen?"

7. The Edwards campaign wants all the traditional single-issue voters to
get under the umbrella of fighting for the downward and outward flow of political, economic and cultural power.

They want the person who thinks the environment is the big issue to walk away from these events thinking, 'shit, if I don't fight on jobs, taxes, campaign finance reform, etc, then the corporations are going to be way to powerful ever to fight on the environment.'

When people say they're looking for more on the environment, Edwards is probably thinking, that's the kind of shit that made Gore look like he didn't care about how real Americans actually experienced life in America. We're going to have to save America first, and save the trees in the process. We're not going to save America by saving the trees and hoping everything else falls in place.
