Do Democrats want all these groups to oppose them in the next election?

They need to listen or lose in the primaries. Without the members of these groups, the eletability of our Democratic leaders is DEAD.

and didn't realize he had commited political suicide recently with the Schiavo case. I just returned from Paris about 3 weeks ago and hadn't seen any of the US media coverage of him prior to my arrival.

Instead of putting their lives on hold & working 30 plus hours a week on the next campaign.

They may even save that check book for their own lives instead of investing $$$ in a party that wont listen to them.

They will continue to work hard, because one does not give up because of a few bumps in the road if something is truly important to them. One forges ahead and fights and fights and fights like hell to achieve their desired ends. I don't think any of these groups will discontinue their efforts because the going has gotten tough.

They may find a new outlet/party where that does not happen.

I'm just saying...

Tell all those groups to survey their members on big issues, send their agendas to the DNC, and the staff will work to put it together into one big agenda which fits all.

The BFEE comes up with so many evil proposals and so many "additions" to nasty little things like the Patriot Act that I can't keep track of them all.:puke:

Is this the one that will mandate Radio Frequency ID tags for everything to prevent terra, the one requiring standardized ID for drivers licenses for those suspicious looking brown people :sarcasm: or something different?

Any Democrat who votes against this bill is going to get called unpatriotic and worse.

According to an editorial in today's NYT

"What Congress is doing instead is to ram through a bill that turns state-issued driver's licenses into a kind of phony national identity card through the mislabeled "Real ID" provision. And in order to make absolutely sure there's no genuine debate, the sponsors have tied it to a crucial bill providing funds for American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan."

Most are unwilling to commit political suicide over this issue.
