"Thanks for your answers." - that was my favorite part...

I guess that line only makes sense if the original question was 'what questions would you like to have pre-screened for approval and inclusion in this press conference?'

If you submit your questions in advance, well, I guess then they become answers, don't they.

2. Do we know if questions were pre-screened ?
That would be a disgrace.

3. This Hasn't Been Settled Yet?
I figured it had by now. Though thinking that he said "Thanks for your answers" is definitely funny, it isn't the truth. I have it on video, listened to it a million times, and there is no doubt whatsoever that he is saying "thanks for your INTEREST".

Sorry.

4. That is categorically un-true...

If you want to hear it, go here:

And listen to the whole show from last week. He says 'answers'...

5. Where in the Speech?
Are you talking about the very end before he walks away? That is where I thought you were referring. If it is, then my statement is accurate, as it is Fact he said interest. If his last statement prior to 'god bless our country' isn't the part you are referring to, then please let me know at what point in the speech he says it, cause it would be really funny if true!

Thanks!

9. Well sorry to say then that 100% without a doubt fact of fact he says
Interest, not answers. (Though when I first heard the rumor I was hoping so much for it to be true, but it turned out to just be misheard)

Sorry!

:)

6. To me it sounds like he mangles "answers" and "interests" together
Edited on Wed May-04-05 02:00 PM by fob
as if he forgot he was talking out loud when he said "thanks for your answers" to whomever speaks into his earpiece and realized he still had a line left for the reporters to "thank you for your interest".

edit: Forgot to add it sounds like "anstrists" to me.

7. He definitely mumbles a bit
and the word interest definitely comes out as if spoken by one with a mental disorder (not totally a sretch), but it is without a doubt the word he intended to say and did say. Let's face it, * talking somewhat unintelligably is nothing that new.
