Conservatives and the Tillman cover up
I just can't even fathom the depths to which conservatives will deny reality. I was just arguing with people over at rightnation.us and couldn't believe my eyes. There is actually someone with the balls to maintain that the Tillman scandal is a liberal media agenda to demoralize our troops.

Can anyone here help me find a way to not believe that certain members of the conservative movement haven't lost their minds?

FYI if you haven't read the story:

And if you're interested in the thread on rightnation.us come help me fight!

1. I'm just glad they aren't talking about what a "physical specimen"
he is. It makes him sound like a science experiment.

2. The Tillman coverup was about only ONE THING - Bush's 2004 campaign.
It was all about Bush's PR. This is the most callous and craven White House in this nation's history.

3. What Makes this Even Worse
Is that the Army took an active role in the coverup. This only proves that the US military chain of command, for the most part, is no longer loyal to the country or to the US Constitution, their loyalty, like that of any dictatorship is to the dictator.

4. Couldn't agree more
How much more could you denigrate a soldier's sacrifice than using his death for political gain and lying about the circumstances, destroying evidence... dear god these people a without limits.

5. Well, they could have done it for themselves, for recruitment
Something tells me that saying that a nationally known hero and soldier was killed by friendly fire woudln't do as well for recruiting as just saying he was killed in combat...

6. Could be
It's pretty much common knowledge that recruiters these days will say anything to get you signed up. Truth is a luxury they seem unable to afford.

7. They needed a 'hero' that the public could all identify with. Tillman
was best known.

8. Hahahah they attacked my military service
How VERY GOP of them. The response on the psycho conservative forum was to attack my service instead of addressing this issue. That's sooooo 2004 campaign!

9. Admitting the truth of the Tillman story
Means that they have to admit that their overlords lie. It's a slippery slope, so rather than examine this corrupt administration too closely, it's much easier to invoke the "support the troops" or "do you want the terrorists to win" or "why do you hate America" chestnuts. They're quite accustomed to watching the so-called liberals on teevee roll over when ever any of those magic words are uttered; they expect it to happen in real life, too.

Pity them. They think that everything that happens in pro wrestling is real, too.

10. Hahahah WWE
*grins* Nice one. I can just see it now-the conservative wrestler known as "The Rock", of course it would be a reference to his i.q.
