A point to ponder about Dk's Electability
If our dark horse wins I think he could beat bush with out a doubt.
Rember that kucinich won as Senator from OHIO not Mass.not vermont but OHIO with lots o reagan democrats.I have actually seen kucinich admired on freak republic because of his stance on trade. He would do good with the paleo conservatives and libertarians because of his anti freetrade and anti patriot act record not to mention greens. Also i think that kucinich would get alot of military support. My father is an active duty officer he has been in iraq they want to come home. Their families want them to come home.People that i have talked with in the local military families speak out group like kucinich becuase he would bring them home or clark because they feel that he has exp.So just keep this in mind when you say that kucinich aint electable

1. right on!
I know a number of folks in the military who would support Dennis but are not particularly interested in other Democratic candidates. Also, I have met republicans who would vote for Dennis but no other democrat. And then of course many greens and independents would support Dennis but are not so interested in the rest of the field. Why are democratic activists so blind to this reality?

2. A few points
1. Kucinich is a representative from Ohio, not a senator. Huge difference.

2. It's extremely unlikely that Kucinich would even carry his home state if nominated.

3. My cat has a better chance of being nominated than Kucinich does.

4. In the unimaginable event that Kucinich is nominated, he'd lose 49 states against Bush, maybe all fifty.

5. Hate to say it, but Kucinich is too short and too weird to ever be president.

3. as a Representative from Ohio, not a Senator
He is from one hell of a conservative district and they still like him. Progressives that talk the talk and walk the walk will always get elected no matter where they go.

5. You know,
you might be right!!!

That's it. I'm switching to Dennis Kucinich.

Oh. I'm already here! ;-) Oh, well.

I agree. Dennis said much the same thing himself in an interview in Maine; I read it this morning, but didn't save it to post.

:kick:

6. The Ohio 10th District
Is 80% Democrat. Once DK got the party nod, the seat was basically his.
