Our "Founding Fathers" sailed off for America--to escape religious tyranny, to flee corruption and to build a better world.
And here we stand today--in the very land to which our "Founding Fathers" fled--fighting the same brand of religious tyranny and corruption--while hoping for a better world. How ironic.
We face a challenge that our Founding Fathers didn't. We can't sail off for uncharted territories on a few clipper ships. The freedom and peace we seek must be re-discovered right here. The best and the brightest--and most enlightened--must repeat history once again and buck the system.
Our Founding Fathers' courage, brilliance and entrepreneurial spirit lives on in so many of us who understand that the current administration is NOT what the framers of the Constitution intended.
We're just like the first people who set foot in America. We seek a better America. We're bold. We've got guts. We're the true cowboys (and cowgirls) who don't mind blazing a few trails, to obtain "liberty and justice for all."
Here's to all of us who have that "Founding-Father spirit" alive within us--guiding us toward a better America--despite the oppression, corruption and abuses that confront our country.
Here's hoping that together we can be "Founding Fathers" and find America once again. Although we can't sail off to a new land--maybe we can work together to re-discover and then re-claim America all over again.
