Trent Lott's Hometown loses Naval Station
Naval Station Pascagoula, Mississippi (Trent Lott's hometown) is on the base closure list. Must make it somewhat uncomfortable for the old confederate to face the homefolks. Meanwhile in Bill Frist's state of Tennessee, the only loss was the "U. S. Army Reserve Maintenance Support Facility in Kingsport." And, some military billets will be leaving Mary Landrieu's Louisiana and heading for Millington Tennessee.

2. Constituents will definitely make him pay
for the loss of the military base.

3. Not going to happen. Mark my words. It's just on the list.
A lot of these bases are merely "suggested" or "recommended" for closing but in reality the Congresspeople representing those bases in Repug states will go to battle, save the base, and be re-elected to office. This is what all this stuff is all about. Only the bases in the blue states in Dem juridictions will be hurt.

Yes, I am very jaded.
