Just a note to Steve LaTourette R-14, OH.
I had to vent, just thought someone might get a better idea from my words:
5/14/05

Hey Steve,

Just thought it was time to express my outrage once more at the wonderful job the Republicans are doing for (TO) us in the House. I want you to know that you do not represent my best interests when I learn of your connections to Mr. Tom DeLay. I wonder if you can really look yourself in the mirror when you support him. I consider myself a Christian, I go to Church most of the time, I am a Sunday School Teacher; I want you to know that I am totally offended by what your party is doing, and that I am remaining active for the 2006 cycle to defeat you, and all Republicans.

I have some questions for you:

Do you really believe that there is any hope for anyone in the “MIDDLE-CLASS” or below in this country?

Do you really believe that my children have any hope for the future, one of ruined environment, economy and individual freedom?

Do you really believe that joining Church and State will make us more moral, that joining forces with RELIGIOUS ZEALOTS makes your party appear more moral?

Do you feel you can sit back and trust that the Lazy and Willfully IGNORANT American Public will continue to look the other way as you (The Government) continue to destroy what little is left of our Freedoms, our Economic Security, our Hope, and Our Compassion in the World???

Can you show me any instances when you fought for the little guy, that you showed a concern for FAIR Elections, that you fought for the Environment, that you showed Tolerance, that you didn’t vote the way CARL ROVE asked???

Do you really think your President is acting in MY best interest when he acts the way he does? (i.e. Social Security, Iraq War = 300 BILLION, Big Business First)

One last request; Would you make an appearance at my children's High school in Stow, like you did at Silver Lake Country Club?

Would you speak to them about the above issues? Will you expound on the ideals that your party stands for? Will you explain why they should have hope for the future, when they read about how our Government can strip them of their rights to a clean environment, a decent job (and a retirement), and can kill thousands of people in illegal wars on one hand and tell us how moral they are on the other? They are waiting, and they are going to vote like their lives depend on it.

Hey Steve, I think you have some explaining to do.

Just sitting here hoping you and yours are having a wonderful day,
George

1. Nice letter
Too bad it'll spontaneously combust from the friction of the speed with which it will be shit-canned by some low level staffer.
