Explain to me what just happened to Obama while speaking

on the floor of the Senate. Watching C-Span 2, Obama had just started speaking about the nuclear option when he was interrupted, a couple of motions were made re the transportation bill and then Martinez started speaking about Cuba. Why wasn't Obama allowed to finish speaking? What rules of the Senate did I miss in that little exchange? Anybody?

1. He wasn't on the Senate floor. That was a news conference.

However, I did find it odd that they didn't wait until the end of his comments before going to the Senate floor.

2. Thanks for clearning that up. I am working and listening with

one ear. Obama was going great guns and all of a sudden he was gone. Didn't realize it was a news conference. What BS that is going on the Senate right now I can see urgent need to switch to Martinez? Free Cuba? Today? :sarcasm:

nothing more needs to be said about martinez who got his start toward the american dream in this country which, under the leadership of DEMOCRAT john f. kennedy opened its arms to martinez and, to all cubans, who, are now repaying the openness of a democrat who offered them asylum from the claws of a dictator by worshiping the claws of our own homespun dictator: george bush.
