Indiana Man Taken As Hostage In Iraq April 13th - Whatever Happened?
As I recall a man named Jeffrey Ake/or Aike was taken hostage in Irag reportedly on April 13th 2005. He was the head of a company called "Equipment Express" in Rolling Prarie, Indiana and lived I believe in LaPorte.

He was working on a water treatment plant near Baghdad when he was abducted.

Whatever happened to him? Was he released? Is he still being held captive? Does anybody know?

1. There doesn't appear to be any updates, according to Wikipedia.

2. I saw an old Indy star yesterday and wondered the same thing.
Doesn't anyone care about hostages anymore? Did he die? Is he assumed to be dead? Is he still being held captive? Has he been released? You would think someone would report on this. But - I guess they are too busy putting down Newsweek and those awful Senate Democrats who play politics all the time and do unconstitutional things like filibuster.

There is no news in the U.S. anymore.

4. The whole thing seems strange to me
His family picked up and moved before their house was even sold. A neighbor
observed a truck loaded with furniture leaving with a police escort.

When I posted this story a couple weeks back, most of the comments were that
the family was trying to raise money to pay a ransom for Ake's release. It's possible,
I guess, but why move before the house was sold?.
