Could the UN get involved if the nuclear option passes?
The United Nations has a much better relationship with the progressive side than with the right wing. The hardcore right HATES the UN. Is there any way that the UN could use their influence to stop the fascist takeover? Yes, I know some of my ideas sound a little out there tonight. I'm just trying to think of ways that this thing could be fought.

4. Maybe the UN could
monitor US elections? Maybe the UN could at least monitor the exit polls? Maybe the UN could help US citizens become aware of what is happening to them?

7. Are you serious?

I think the UN has more important things to worry about than a parliamentary procedure in the US Senate, like say the genocide in Darfur.

This can be fought in the ballot box, and in the court of public opinion.

8. I doubt it.
The only chance we've got is to stop it before it starts, there are still sane republicans in the senate, like McCain, contact them at http://www.angelfire.com/hi5/bububjones/
