Galloway Senate testimony PDF goes AWOL: Evidence 'missing' from Committee
Galloway Senate testimony PDF goes AWOL
Evidence 'missing' from Committee website

The website for the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs has removed testimony from UK MP George Galloway from its website.

All other witness testimonies for the hearings on the Oil for Food scandal are available on the Committee's website in PDF form. But Galloway's testimony is the only document not on the site.

"I have met Saddam Hussein exactly the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld met him," Galloway told the Committee.

"The difference is that Donald Rumsfeld met him to sell him guns and to give him maps the better to target those guns."

1. Colman is a coward....
My letter to the committee:

Dear Senate Committee on Homeland Secutity and Governmental Affairs--

I'm writing to express my outrage that the committee has removed the testimony of MP George Galloway from its website. The stated reason-- that Mr. Galloway did not submit a statement-- is transparent hogwash at best and something far more sinister at worst. Mr. Galloway certainly did make an eloquent statement to the committee. Since the full text of that statement is available on numerous other websites, one can only conclude that the committee deliberately chose to censor his testimony, even if only by neglect. This is shameful in the extreme, and it reflects poorly upon the committee's legitimate objective of seeking, considering, and making public open testimony regarding homeland security matters. Mr. Galloway's statement was one of the most important made before the committee during it's investigation of the U.N. Oil-for Food Program-- its deliberate omission from the committee's public documents severely undermines the committee's credibility.

A full transcript of Mr. Galloway's opening remarks can be downloaded from http://www.commondreams.org/views05/0517-35.htm. I urge you to obtain it and post it immediately to remove any appearance that the committee fears full public disclosure of his testimony.

With regards,
XXXXXXX, Ph.D.

2. And was Levin trying to cover his ass?
Seems one of the articles I read (might have been the one that implicated Dr. Lies and *'s sister) mentioned Levin was associated somehow with either Bayoil or somehow otherwise linked to the Oil-for-Food scandal.
