I don't think we do this intentionally. Instead, the RW focuses on single issues, and we keep defending ourselves against those single issues. We have to get out of that trap, and instead keep saying "We support the right to privacy." Period. End of sentence.

2. it's even easier, as the banana republicans become more extreme
we can simply be in favor of liberty, freedom, and democracy, and so on. all we have to do is get organized and DEFINE those terms in the public consciousness.

right now, they're just empty symbols of loyalty and national identity. once we talk about them in a way that gives them substance, we'll quickly win the propaganda wars and show them for agents of the dark side.
