you should have heard oh Hannity ranting on the radio. No I usually do not listen to that swill, but had to get something at a hobby store and the older gentleman had the radio on.

Well Hannity was truly frothing at the mouth... I have not heard him that PO'ed in a long time.

Point is... and time will tell... but now I am fully convinced, the effect of last night is seen by the RW as a twiarting of their will... and quite likely, 1936 redux.

Folks only time will tell, but it was sweet.

Oh and I have to confirm this, but aparently one of the three was voted down... on a bipartisan basis...

;-)

I like Federalists as much as the next person, but if it took two (or even three) to stop the full power grab, this is triage truly... and quite possibly a victory even if it will take a while for it to show this to be the result.

1. I'm hoping that some of the three...
get more "downs" than "ups" in the voting. That would truly kick Frist and his pals in the nuts, cause not only did they lose the filibuster debate, but also the judges that started it. I doubt they will, but wouldn't it be nice.

3. the republicans raise hell if they do not get
exactly 100% of what they want. Don't go by what they are saying to determine if this is a victory.

4. Could you explain
"1936 redux" for the history challenged among us. I imagine it has something to do with Hitler, but I sure don't know what. (And I bet I'm not alone.)

Thanks in advance.

6. They Won, We Lost, like the last Election...
Edited on Tue May-24-05 06:46 PM by MeDeMax

threat from another mirage appeared on the desert (political horizon),

our senators moved to defend their power and institutional tradition,

upon moving closer the mirage disappeared (as it always does),

we are celebrating that we successfully defended against a phantom menace that didn't exist to begin with...

Hannity & Co, think they own all there is to own politically. The airwaves are filled with empty rhetoric of how much they gave up...blah blah!

Fact is, they gave up the threat of something they didn't have to begin with.

We, all but, escorted three activist judges into the second most powerful court in the land. Anyone have any doubts which way these judges will lean come crunch time ?

And in the process of doing so, agreed to censor ourselves a little more the next time such a situation should arise.
