2. Thanks for the link.
It helps put the two in the right perspective. That PNAC is essentially 'elitist' and goes against many beliefs both left & right, ESPECIALLY the nativist theocrats. NOBODY will openly defend it.

But that CNP gang has strong roots to the dark underside of American history --- Cotton Mather, Know Nothing Party, Oriental Exclusion agitation, anti-Semitic & anti-Catholic agitation, KKK, etc. That's certainly the immediate danger. {It wouldn't hurt to point out to that crowd, that their beloved Dubya is just the front for PNC).

4. Great post pnorman!
I agree.

They are both dangerous as organizations, but for far different reasons.

Personally, I want my America back. You know, the free one... where all people's views could be expressed, and where secret organizations weren't steering the country. I'm old enough to remember it. I'd like to see my children and grandchildren to experience it, too.

7. Okay, so CNP is clearly creepy but....
I couldn't answer the poll because I didn't know what either of these groups really are.

Thanks to ken-in-seattle for the CNP link, but could anyone possibly give me a link about PNAC or some information on it? I would really appreciate it. I always see it mentioned here but I never really got what it was. Thanks so much in advance of any help!

11. spread the word m'dear...
Just don't hit the uninitiated with the whole magilla... They will NOT believe you. People have a hard time believing that someone we would ordinarily consider a "leader" could be guilty of such massive treason.
(It's called projection, they are mostly good people who can't imagine themselves doing such horrible things)

3. geez they are both really scary
but I voted for PNAC as the most dangerous. It seems to me that the PNAC folks have the power right now. They used the CNP folks to gain power
and are willing to throw them some crumbs as long as it coincides with their interests.

5. PNAC has the "power",
but they're essentially CHICKEN-HAWKS. They can hire mercenaries, but they don't have too many ready to risk their lives for a cause.

But (in addition to a lot of hot air posturers) the theo-Cons have enough "Foot Soldiers for Christ". They also have enough Nativist legititimacy" to be a potent force.

10. Both are equally parasitic lifeforms
PNAC is led by fundie Likud Zionists, CNP is led by fundie dominonists. Two sides of the same fascist coin, really.
