1. Those are reasonable points to raise.
Though I wouldn't try some of those, since my city has all sorts of cameras that catch you running lights and such.

4. Which is one reason red light cameras should be banned.
At least if a police officer were present, they have the ability and discretion to take extenuating circumstances into account.

5. Don't worry, do it!

I practiced civil disobedience once, and I didn't get punished at all!
I usually never regret it when I challenge or break a nonsense rule!

2. Right on red was the first step... left on red is next...

3. Traffic laws are badly in need of revision
I know. I sat at a badly-timed red light this morning, my car idling away gasoline, from 5:58 AM until 6:13 AM (yes, I timed it). What kind of local government sets traffic lights on a 15-minute cycle? (Republican local governments, so it would seem.)

An awful lot of traffic law is just plain boneheaded.

However, nothing will happen -- there is too much "revenue" generated from traffic fines and piggyback "administrative costs". The point system, too, is a money-maker, for the insurance companies.

Nothing will change, though, until a couple of massive class-action lawsuits wend their way up the judicial food chain.

Dare we hope?
