Now that pathological * has been weakened and rendered a failure...
Edited on Tue May-31-05 12:37 AM by TwoSparkles
...what will happen?

*'s polls--just six months after re-election--are totally in the toilet. His SocSec plan tanked. Reps and Dems are BOTH saying he has no political capital. House members thumbed their noses at him, voting for stem-cell research. His Senate mouthpiece--Frist--has been emasculated. Iraq is a glaring embarrassment. The voices of opposition--nationally and internationally--are growing louder.

Bush has completely run into the ditch.

We all wanted him to fail, because his extremist, PNAC-scum agenda is unAmerican and evil. But, what now?

Does * quietly accept his failure? Or does scary stuff start happening?

I'm concerned, because dry-drunk, narcissistic sociopaths--generally--run completely off the rails when their fantasy world begins crumbling underneath their feet. They start behaving dangerously.

We still have 3 1/2 years left of *. As his approvals continue to slide--how will * govern as an unpopular, detested, abomination who has no political capital and no leverage with Congress?

edited- for clarity

2. Terra Lerts. Maybe even some new colors.
Or even, God forbid, another 9/11 (Reichstag fire). I wouldn't put anything past those evil bastards any more. Whatever it takes for the Chimperor to retain power, that's what he'll do. Another "terrorist" attack, maybe even martial law, suspension of the Constitution? I'm glad to see his poll numbers tank, but I worry about what he and his stooges (and Darth Cheney) might decide to do about it.

7. I wondered the same thing...

...when I saw the lame story today about "Zarqawi calling on Osama bin Laden to put an unspecified plan into motion".

I mean, come on. Something feels very "off" about this story.

We're supposed to believe that Zarqawi publicly communicated with bin Laden--through a Website, "Ok good buddy! Release the hounds! We got a big terror plan just a waitin for your approval! Let us know, k?"

It's ridiculous. Why would one terrorist communicate via public messages? It's never happened before. It's certainly not what they've EVER done in the past.

I seriously doubt that any terror plot would be orchestrated and organized via public messages on a Web site.

It feels as if someone is leaving bread crumbs.

9. the lower the numbers
the higher the probability of at least an alert...

here's a link to a summary of recent polls -- http://www.realclearpolitics.com/polls.html

back to the alerts -- bush*'s numbers are sinking, Congress's numbers are in the toilet - this does not bode well for mid-term (s)elections

the only tools the Rubbicans (repug rubber-stampers) are Fear and War.

my predicitions: Possible terra-lert(s) over the summer to prime the pumps.

NEW PRODUCT ROLLOUT: watch for rhetoric to be ratched up a few notches regarding Iran/Syria when bush* returns from august vacation. Instead of WMDs, it's going to be nukes and mushroom clouds. If there is resistence to this - a few well timed terra-lerts will be announced and thin links/hints of connections to Iran/Syria

If not just before, but definitely around the time of the SOTU - the saber rattling towards Iran/Syria will increase and the push for invading Syria/Iran will be official. Probably March-April 2006 and just in time for the Rubbericans to use it for their re(s)election campaigns.

On the domestic front - more divisive politics with a dash of fear that "fill in the blank" is threatening moral/family values.

4. Let's party like it's 1699
he has never governed.

he is a member of a gang of thieves hiding in plain sight in the white house. they'll keep on stealing as fast as they can. Meanwhile, he can create distractions whether he is popular or not.

The real problem for the next 3.5 years is the religiously insane mob that the bushturd turned loose on us.

5. I give the shrub about 6 months
Edited on Tue May-31-05 12:37 AM by rigel99
I'm timing it for right around Christmas time, when he tells even more soldiers they can't go home for Christmas...

Americans, lazy as we are , are sick of Iraq, we want something else stimulating on the TV set and the fall shows will keep the opiate of the masses going.....

everyone is predicting 9/11 part 2, but I think shrub would bungle that too as he's pissed of many FBI folks (Notice CoinGate is entirely an FBI operation at the moment and no homeland thugs called in as of yet).

CoinGate tied to election fraud will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

my prediction is that Bernadette Noe (Tom's lovely wife) will be the connection to fraud and this will what takes him down.....
$10M in coin losses is NOTHING compared to collaboration from republican operatives in the trenches to hand Bush an Ohio win...

there's a fall coming and I hope we can mobilize quickly enough to jump thru the portal time has opened up for us in Ohio with 3 of 5 new supreme court judges on the Coingate trial cause the Rethug supreme court judges took money from NOE and recused...

it's an amazing set of good luck circumstances and remember the name Julia Bates.. she's the prosecutor who will one of history's heroes over this.......

8. Impeachment is the only thing to save the Country
I left a long held well paying job after working for a boss for two yrs who had the same attributes - the guy was a dry alcoholic, but drank a few times - ON THE JOB! Was a ranging, abusive lunatic, a political amanipulator, managed by fear, a womanizer, married one underling, divorced her then married another underlink in a dept he oversaw. Due to fear in the org, no-one complained. I saw many people hurt, fired from jobs, demoted, pujblically humiliated by this management facist. I was not going to take it and quit - with no prospect for a new job, many obligations. Now, I am flying high doing better than ever.

Moral is, sometimes we have to take serious risks to make change. The only way to save the nation and the people and creatures of this planet is to somehow get congress (maybe elect one) that will impeach this dangerous little man!
