Casualty website that is reliable (as they come anyway).
I'm searching for a good website that tracks Iraqi causalities as well as American casualties. Is there one?

It seems like DU should have a dedicated spot on the front page or in the lobby for casualty count.

Just a suggestion.

13. LOL technically I'd be a "mod ma'am"
there are only 3 "admins" who run the site. they have "blue men"

we "gray ghosts" are the volunteer moderators :)

and this site will probably lift your spirits and make you crazy and get you spitting mad and make you laugh out loud (that's what most people find hehehehehehe)

6. The Washington Post keeps an excellent website for this. . .
www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/world/iraq/casualties/facesofthefallen.htm

It runs a little behind the icasualties.org site, and doesn't have near the amount of info that icasualties carries, but you see the faces of the fallen and its sortable by branch of service.

7. I vouch for the site in post #1

http://icasualties.org/oif/

The list is comprehensive and detailed.

This site lists accidental deaths, deaths that occur from injurys sustained IN Iraq, death due to illness, a partial list of Contractor Deaths, deaths in Afghanistan,. It lists names, ranks, and service branch.

This site debunks many of the rumors about the US underreporting the casualties from Iraq.

If the US is underreporting casualties in Iraq, there would be a significant number of people who disappeared in Iraq whose names are NOT on this list. So far, I am not aware of ANY.

As much as I distrust EVERYTHING coming out of this administration, Their Causality Count appears to be accurate.

15. Has anyone gotten to the bottom of the question whether these numbers
include soldiers wounded in Iraq, stabilized sufficiently for transfer to Germany (or elsewhere), and who ultimately die out of theater from wounds received in theater or from complications from in-theater wounds?
