Republicans are notorious for using images out of context or altering them to support their propaganda. The Schundler brouhaha is only the latest manifestation of their lack of journalistic integrity.
Exhibit A:http://www.prwatch.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5319 "The original picture taken by a Reuters photographer, is part of a series of pictures taken during a shooting incident in March 2003 in Central Iraq, and during which the mother of the child was killed while the sister was injured."
Exhibit B:http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/10/27/22442/878"Appropriately titled "Whatever It Takes", the new BC04 ad uses Bush's convention acceptance speech, stirring music, and images of dedicated troops and families in the heartland. As astutely noted by mikellanes in this thread:
It also uses Photoshopped images to
turn a small crowd into a large one cover over Bush at a podium."
Exhibit C:http://annatopia.com/archives/001145.html"Our privacy and personal integrity were violated when our wedding photo was stolen and used to portray us as treasonous, unpatriotic, and a threat to American troops," Rick Raymen said. "We have been harassed and humiliated by this hateful ad campaign and by the bigotry and anger it has generated against us nationwide."

As you can see, the Republicans have taken Ambrose Bierce's advice to heart: "Don't steal; thou shall never thus compete successfully in business. Cheat."
