Colin Powell on the Daily Show - total bullshit !!!
listen to this pathetic defense Powell tried to make of the Downing Street Minutes ... he tried to say that after the minutes were written, look at what bush did ... he didn't take the nation to war; he took the nation to the UN ...

is he serious ????

what he "took to the UN", using Powell himself, was the pack of lies that was "fixed around the policy" !!!!

going to the UN does not weaken the importance of the DSM; it strengthens it ...

14. OTOH, the truth is out there, and holding these guys up to the light
can only keep the viewers aware of the ever-widening credibility gap. Powell is dismissing the Downing Street minutes, which say the policy is being fixed, then talks about going to the UN where EVERYBODY KNOWS that he lied, he lied through his teeth about weapons that did not exist, that EVERYBODY KNOWS did not exist.

I got no problems with Stewart over this.

They just didn't get good intelligence; everything was openly debated; blah blah blah. Of course, even if he'd seen the error of his ways, I doubt he'd say so on The Daily Show. But still -- what a tool. He could have been one of the good guys, but he's sticking with the Dark Side. Too bad.

13. It's been going on for a while
